The information comes from the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Local Consumption and the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

This increase comes more than 2 months after the last one on May 10th.

According to the inter ministerial order :

  • The liter of super unleaded fuel which was at 625 f will now be sold at 700 f.

  • The price of paraffin has risen from 580 to 650 francs.

  • Gasoil has increased by 190 francs and will be sold at 850 francs.

  • For the 2-stroke mixture, consumers can buy a liter from 788 f.

This new increase will certainly generate some complaints among the population. But let's remember that this phenomenon is worldwide due to the fluctuations of world prices of petroleum products.

West African countries are also affected. On July 11, 2022, petrol was selling for 600 francs in Benin, 715 francs in Burkina Faso, 735 francs in Côte d'Ivoire, 890 francs in Senegal and 960 francs in Ghana.

These fluctuations are obviously one of the consequences of the war in Ukraine.
